As we embark on our third season, Showtime Dance Company proudly continues its commitment to the "Fostering Happy Project." This special initiative is designed to cater to children within the foster care system, who often face obstacles in participating in extracurricular activities due to time and financial constraints. The "Fostering Happy Project" is a not-for-profit dance program with flexible attendance options, ensuring accessibility to all.
Here's what our program offers:
-
Appropriate Dance Attire: All participating dancers will receive the necessary dance attire, removing any barriers to entry.
-
Flexible Scheduling: Recognizing the unique challenges of the foster care world, we offer a flexible schedule, allowing dancers to attend as many or as few classes as they wish.
-
Choreography Optional: While we will be choreographing a dance for our show, participation in this aspect is entirely optional.
Our overarching goal is to envelop these children with love and provide them with a sense of happiness and belonging. Dance, to us, represents much more than mere movement; it serves as a powerful medium for self-expression, allowing children to communicate without words.
At Showtime Dance Company, we hold this program close to our hearts, as it embodies our sincere commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of these remarkable children. Join us in nurturing happiness and belonging through the art of dance.
